Choose your AI providers
Enable the models that will power your workspace’s Agents.
Your AI provider supplies the model that powers an Agent. Activate the providers your client wants to use, then choose a model when creating each Agent. You can use more than one provider in the same workspace.
Choose a provider
| Provider | How you use it in Sordit |
|---|---|
| OpenAI | Choose from the OpenAI models available in the Agent form. |
| Anthropic | Choose from the supported Claude models available in the Agent form. |
| OpenRouter | Choose from the models that meet Sordit’s compatibility requirements. |
Availability can differ between provider accounts. The current Agent form is the best place to see which models you can select.
Activate a provider for the workspace
- Have the right person set it up
An Owner or authorised Admin manages workspace provider credentials. If you are a consultant, the client can use their own provider account so model usage is billed directly to them.
- Add the provider’s API key
Choose the provider, enter its key and use Save API key. Enter credentials only in the provider settings, not in a Job brief or a planning conversation.
- Enable it for new work
Check the provider is enabled for new Agents and Runs. Make sure the provider account has available usage or billing configured.
- Create an Agent and try it
Go to Agents → Create AI Agent. Choose the provider and model, then run a small Job with an outcome you can check.
Know which connection you are setting up
The workspace API key powers Agents using that provider. Model tokens are billed by the provider, while Sordit Credits cover applicable platform work. This is the usual setup when a client wants to manage their own AI spending.
Choose for reliable results
Not every model available through a provider is suitable for persistent business work. Start with the supported choices in Sordit, then test the model on the kind of Task you intend to give it. Compare the quality of the result as well as its token cost and time taken.
