Complete your first Job
Start with a small outcome you can review, and see how Sordit carries the work through.
Start with one small piece of useful work that you can review easily. A good first Job reads information and prepares a result, rather than immediately sending messages or changing business records.
We will use a simple example: summarise recent client enquiries, identify two priorities and ask a person to review them. This is a one-off Job. You can turn a proven process into a Routine later.
Have these ready
- A workspace with Credits available for paid work.
- At least one available AI Agent.
- The relevant person’s business connections.
- Sordit connected to ChatGPT or Claude.
Plan it with your 2IC
- Name the outcome and the account to use
Tell your 2IC what a useful result looks like and whose connected account contains the information. Be specific about the date range, source and where the output should go.
- Ask for a proposal before creation
Let your 2IC check what is available and ask any missing questions. Review the proposed Tasks, assignees and approval points before authorising creation.
- Approve the work you actually want
Check the client workspace and account identity. Make sure any sending, publishing or updating is included only when you intend it. Ask for changes if the proposal is not right.
In this workspace, help me create a one-off Job to review the last five client enquiries in my connected Gmail account. Summarise each enquiry in a Google Doc, recommend the two that most need my attention and explain why. Assign the final review to me. Do not send any emails. Check the available Agents and connections, then show me the proposed Tasks before creating the Job.
What the Job might look like
Your actual plan can use the Agents and people available in your workspace. You do not need to create an Agent for every business function.
Follow it through to a result
Follow the Job’s progress and open an Agent Task to see its activity. When a review is assigned to you, open it from My Tasks or the Job. Read the summary, open the linked document and decide whether to accept it or request changes using the available decision options.
“The summary is clear, but the renewal enquiry has a deadline tomorrow. Reconsider the priorities using deadlines and the impact of a delayed response, then send it back for review.”
Check the whole outcome
Do not stop at an Agent’s completion message. Open the deliverable, check that it answers the brief and confirm that any required Human Task has been completed. Review usage to understand what this kind of work consumes.
