SORDIT DOCUMENTATION

Connect your business tools

Give Agents access to the apps you already use, through your own authorised accounts.

Practical guidance for getting work done

Business connections let your Agents work with information where it already lives. An Agent can read an enquiry in Gmail, find its context in HubSpot and save a document in Google Drive using the authorised connections available for the Task.

Each person connects their own accounts. As a consultant, you can ask your client to complete this step directly instead of sending credentials to you.

Connect an account

Where to goSettings → Connections
  1. Start with the tools your first Job needs

Search under Add a connection or choose an app from the catalogue. If your first Job summarises emails into a document, start with Gmail and Google Docs or Google Drive as needed.

  2. Select Connect

Check the connection type shown on the app. Some apps use a sign-in and approval flow, while others ask for an API key.

  3. Authorise the correct account

Follow the provider’s prompts. If your browser is signed into several Google or Microsoft accounts, take a moment to select the business account you want the Agent to use.

  4. Check that it appears under Connected

Return to Sordit and look for the app under Connected. Then ask your 2IC to check the connections available for the person whose work you are planning.

What will the connection ask me for?

You are taken to the business app to sign in and approve access. Complete any two-factor authentication there, then return to Sordit. You do not need to send your password or 2FA code to your consultant.

Read the access request and use the intended business account. The integration and that account’s permissions determine what is available to an Agent.

Connected does not mean access to everything

An Agent still needs the right account permissions and a supported integration action. If it cannot open a file, first check whether the connected person can open it in the original app. A connection is not a way around a restricted folder or CRM record.
