Understand Sordit Credits

Know which parts of the work use Credits and how they differ from AI model usage.

Practical guidance for getting work done

Sordit Credits pay for work carried out on the platform. Each workspace has its own prepaid balance, so your client can fund their operations directly. Your AI provider’s model usage is separate.

Two costs, two places

Sordit platform work

Workspace Credits cover active Agent time, business tool calls and other applicable platform work. See these in Sordit Billing.

AI model usage

With your own provider API key, token usage is billed to your OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter account. It does not come out of your Sordit Credit balance.

Pay for active work, not waiting

Suppose your Agent spends 3 minutes preparing an answer, pauses for a person’s approval, then works for 1 more minute to finish it. You pay for 4 active minutes, regardless of how long the person takes to respond.

3 minutesAgent prepares the work
Human approvalPaused time isn’t billed
1 minuteAgent finishes the work
Active time you pay for4 minutes

Active periods are added together for each cloud environment and rounded up to started minutes. If work uses separate environments, each is rounded separately.

What uses Credits?

Type of workA familiar exampleWhat is counted
AI Agent active timePreparing a client follow-upActive running time in the Agent’s cloud environment
Business tool callsReading Gmail, looking up HubSpot and saving a reply draftEach request to a connected business tool
Incoming business eventsA new email starts an enquiry RoutineThe supported incoming event; a time-based schedule is different
Approved 2IC creationYour 2IC creates a Job or Routine after you approve its proposalThe applicable creation in Sordit, not the planning conversation
Sordit storageKeeping files in Sordit beyond the included allowanceApplicable storage beyond that allowance

A single Task may make several tool calls. For example, searching for an email and then opening its thread are separate actions. Connecting a tool is different from an Agent using it to do work.

Planning, creation and running are separate

  1. Talk through the plan

Work with your 2IC in ChatGPT or Claude. Refine the brief and review the proposal. The conversation itself is not Sordit platform execution.

  2. Create the approved work

When your 2IC creates the approved Job or Routine in Sordit, the applicable creation charge is incurred.

  3. Run the work

When Agents carry out the Tasks, active time and tool calls are counted. Running the same Routine again does not recreate the Routine each time.

Keep files where your team works

If your business already uses Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive or another supported cloud storage tool, use the appropriate connection and tell your 2IC where deliverables belong. Sordit storage is useful when you need it, rather than a reason to move all your business files.

Estimate before you scale up

Run a representative Job and inspect its usage. Then use the Pricing calculator to explore the effect of volume and working time. The Pricing page and workspace Billing contain the current rates and package choices.

Manage your workspace balance and review usage.
